21 Jul Call for Papers–Sustainable Business Models
Three peer-reviewed journals are currently calling for papers on sustainable business models. These journals will develop special issues taking different perspectives on business model and sustainability issues:
International Journal of Corporate Social Responsibility – “Business Models for the Circular Economy”, extended abstract deadline: September 1st, 2017
This special issue will explore a changing view on inter-organizational value creation. One of the emerging trends in society is to explore the concept of ‘multiple value creation’ under the heading of the circular economy. Theoretical, conceptual and empirical papers focusing on business models related to the circular economy are welcome. Papers from a broad variety of methodologies, research fields and a wide scope of domains are invited.
Journal of Business Models – “Sustainable Value Creation Through Business Models”, full paper deadline: January 15th, 2018
This call for papers motivates authors from various disciplines, first, to take a closer look at theories, concepts and cases that apply more comprehensive and stakeholder-sensitive notions of value and value creation, second, to consider diverse forms of value (e.g., economic, ecological, social, cultural, relational, psychological etc.) and their underlying values, and third, to explicitly connect such comprehensive notions of value and value creation to business models and business model innovation.
Business & Society – “Collaborative Cross-Sector Business Models for Sustainability”, full paper deadline: December 1st, 2018
This special issue aims at motivating authors to explore the theoretical, conceptual and practical areas where narrow perspectives on customers and suppliers are extended or replaced by considering the whole range of possible stakeholders related to business models and sharing platforms. The aim is to develop insights about how collaborative business models and sharing platforms can be stimulated, managed and lead to outcomes that are beneficial for both business and society.
